I am part of and actively contributed to 3 international working groups whose aim is to develop international standards using Semantic Web technologies. Together with Linked Data community members and experts from the social, behavioral, and economic sciences, we developed (1) the DDI-RDF Discovery Vocabulary, a vocabulary to support the discovery of statistical data and its metadata, (2) Physical Data Description (PHDD), a vocabulary to represent data in tabular format and their physical properties, and (3) XKOS, a SKOS extension to describe formal statistical classifications and to introduce refinements of the semantic properties between pairs of concepts.
